Hi. I am very new to using this type of forum. I would like to lose 25 lbs for summer. I have a too small pair of Capris pinned on my bulletin board for motivation! I am mainly interested in finding out if anyone has tried low carb foods such as pasta, bread, and tortillas and what they think. There are so many sites online to purchase these items and one wonders if they are any good! Marymelsue

Welcome to this forum and I hope you enjoy the low carb life style and that it gets you the results you want.

Just one word of warning, like any diet, you can't just go back to your old eating habits once you have got to your target weight. If you do, then the weight will just pile on again, and some more. I've been there, done that, and got several T-shirts.

I've no knowledge about low carb pasta, etc. I just don't bother with starchy foods at all. Is it really a hardship to cup out bread, potatoes and pasta?

The low carb life style encourages you to eat food that has not been processed. Hence those low carb equivalents, certainly have been, and where possible should be avoided.

Every success with your low carb journey.
