Unhappy URGENT! Really need help/advice...please

I did really well from October thru most of December. Then I graduallly fell off the wagon and most of my 20 lbs found its way back home. When I first started low carbing I lost kind of quickly which reinforced my motivation. Now that I am trying to go back I am not losing. Perhaps I am more resistant? Should I do an induction? Really want help. I want to get motivated again and have the loses I did before. Initially I lost 10bs in like 2 wks. REALLY look forward to your advice. I don't want to go carte blanche on the protein portions. I think I do better with some portion control and focusing on healthier fats... Thanks buds!

Gosh! I saw that you had no replies yet, so I wanted to help out! I've fallen off the wagon before too. I think for me the only way I could kickstart ketosis was to go back on induction. Atkins' book says it's okay to use it as a safe zone to fall into from time to time, but it shouldn't become a lifetime habit. Sometimes it's the only thing to do to get back to burning fat. From the looks of it, you say you lost 10 lbs. in 2 weeks, well that's about average, so I wouldn't say you're more resistant than most.

Hang in there! It'll happen.

Emily

Also - although you posted this in the right section, you'll get a lot more responses if you ask the same question in the Atkins area. Lots more visitors there!

Emily, The ten pounds in two weeks was part of my previous 20 lb loss. I haven't lost a thing since I have been trying again. I really appreciate your reply. I was kind of bummed by the lack of response. Thank you.

IMO yes, once you've lost some weight and gained it back, it's even harder to lose it again.
Hang in there, it's worth it. You will lose again.
Keep saying to yourself "I am a Loser. I AM a Loser".
Hmmm, gotta work on my pep talk.
