Default Chocolate or Butterscotch Pudding

Does anyone like to eat pudding?

I was thinking that using this sugar-free pudding mix with half and half would be a yummy treat. ...but it would be 11 Carbs.. Is it worth the sacrifice ?

I haven't found my maintenence level of carbs yet, but am considering making this next week for dessert...

What do you think?

I'd vote looking into ways of making your own pudding like dessert. That way you can avoid the extra carbs (they use dry milk powder) as well as the asperteme. Do a search in the recipe section on here for chocolate mousse or pudding to see others ideas.

One thing I found that works well is to take and whip up some whipping cream. When it's close to stiff add in some cocoa powder and some sweetner (for an extra rich treat mix in a little sour cream or cream cheese) then whip more until stiffer.

Do you use Splenda??

I like to use it, I'm concerned for my children's health with some of the other artificial sweeteners.. Carcinogenic right?

Sometimes I need a break from slaving over the stove and mixing bowl though.. Something quick and easy would be cool too.

..am definitely going to take your advice and look at the recipes though.

Thanks!
