Question Body Type

Im wondering if there is any corelation between body type and loosing weight with emphasis on low carbing??

I found this interesting site which after a quiz tells you your body type and how best to loose weight according to your shape.

The address is:

http://www.weightcontroldoctor.com/body-type.shtml

Any thoughts would be appreciated. It may even help to explain certain stalls or plateaus and why they happen.

Surprise, I am the woman with thunder thighs

I have to stay away from sugar and include protein in every meal ! (It also said I have to eliminate fat, but I think that was in combination with sugar).

If weight loss is attempted by following a very low fat-low calorie diet, there is a reduction from the breasts, shoulders and arms etc, but alas not from the thighs and buttocks

This is how I ended up here.

Fats and sugars combined in the same foods will increase the body's sensitivity to oestrogen, leading to weight gain and perhaps cellulite on the hips, buttocks and thighs.

Hmm, maybe more due to the sugar, than the fat ?

Quote:
Proteins should be included at each meal or snack on them, to improve the hormonal balance of insulin and glucagon, which helps to control blood sugar levels.

Have they read the LC Books ?

Quote:
For gynaeoid women this is very important, as is the micronutrient chromium found in such supplements as Selenium Designer Yeast Powder. Chromium helps to reduce cravings for fats and sugars and gynaeoid woman will benefit from this.

Someone else mentioned Chromium before. But apparently there is bad chromium as well ??

Quote:
Phytoestrogens are plant hormones, which modulate the oestrogen level in the body and they are very beneficial for gynaeoid women. Phytoestrogens reduce the excessive oestrogenic effect in the body, which leads to weight gain around the hips and thighs. FemmePhase contains many phytoestrogens including Black cohosh, Dong quai, Liquorice and Wild yam, which help to balance the hormonal disorders that contribute to weight gain.

Should I give this a try ? How can eating more Oestrogens (plant based or not) make things better ??

Greetings
Sabine
