Talking Any Low Carbers in the Chilliwack Area?

Hi there I live in Chilliwack and I'm wondering if there are any others out there who are on Atkins or another lowcarb diet. Where do you shop and where do you eat out???

Happy New Year!

Hi Elizabeth... I've been doing Atkins off and on over a couple of years. My hubby is doing it now... I have opted for a bit of a healthier low carb lifestyle courtesy of Dr. Andrew Weil... working great. As for shopping we have alot to offer here in the Wack...Ed's bakery makes low carb bread (haven't tried it), you can also find loaves of it at Save On Foods as well as low carb cookies in the bakery section (made in Vancouver), Super store has LOTS of products that are either Atkins(low carb stuff) and also other brands of stuff like jams etc made with Splenda, Ross chocolates found at Shoppers DM, Pharmasave, London Drugs and at the healthfood store in the Cottonwood Mall.. Java house coffee (Future Shop plaza) sells the Davinci's coffee syrups(Splenda) for fairly cheap. The sausage shop on Alexander(Valley Meats) makes all their own meats, sausage, bacon..etc... with NO fillers....pure meat only...no chemicals such as nitrates... Theres lots here!! Good Luck!

Hi Locarbjo,

Thanks for the shopping tips! I didn't know you could get davinci syrups here in Chilliwack. I'm going to javahut and to the butcher shop today to see what I can find! I'm also going to take a closer look at what Save On and Superstore have to offer.
