Default period weight

What normally happens to you ladies when you have your period? Do you gain weight before, during or after? Also, at what point in your weight loss, for those of you who are in the thick of things (no pun intended) does your weight fluctuate the most around your period?

I've been doing Atkins for about five weeks and I've lost about 15 pounds, but I can't tell if my current stall is because of my period, or just a stall.

Can any of you ladies help me figure this out?

I usually stall or right when the time starts, sometimes I can be up about 3 pounds. Then at the end usually am back down or have a loss. Everyone is different though. Good Luck

I usually stall or even gain 2-3 lbs. a week before. Then it will go away and take another with it ...

I'm in the middle of the cycle, and I was up 4 pounds today, despite not eating that much yesterday. It's likely just hormonal goodness. Not gonna worry until a week later!

Guess I'm the odd one out. I usually have a nice loss in the week before my period, gain water weight either during or right after and then slowly lose it in the week following to be back to my pre-TOM weight or perhaps a bit lower.
Just goes to show...everyone's different!

It definitely can be depressing putting on a few pounds around that time of the month, but thankfully it does come off after a few days. I try not to weigh myself during that time because it only depresses me.

I usually gain or stay the same the few days before and during TOM (lasts about 3 days), so I don't worry about what the scale says. I just look forward to weighing the next week, when I know I'll be reading 2 weeks worth of loss--yay!
