Hi Everyone!
I was at a training walk for a charity event called "The Breast Cancer 3-Day" this weekend, and there was a doctor there talking about cutting edge sports medicine nutrition. I was SO HAPPY when he told about 400 people that meat, fish and eggs were what they should eat (also veggies and fruit), and to AVOID simple carbs like pasta, cereal and white bread-- also don't drink fruit juice, etc!!!
Oh, it was wonderful! My mom is doing the walk with me, and I think she's getting close to coming over from WW. I could tell all these people in the audience were shocked by what they were hearing.
Right away his first question was: "what's the more nutritious breakfast: eggs or Special K cereal with skim milk?" Most everyone said the cereal and milk, but I said eggs (they are the perfect protien and full of vitamins and minerals).
Guess who was right!!!
LC is making ground -- in a few years everyone will know the truth about carbs.
