Default WOW that felt great!... Part II...

So for those of you who appreciated my Fred Segal, Land of the Size "Zeros", experience in my original post, here is a continuation....

Yesterday was too crazy at Fred Segal, it was the first day of their annual sale, an absolute must event for L.A. trendoids in search of overpriced clothes on sale. So today I went to their other location which has the best selection of jeans in the universe in order to test the saleswoman's comment to me, "What are you, a 34?".

Well to make a long story short, I am a 34! I can't believe it. This has been my goal waist size for some time, although, now, I would like to get to a 32. I tried on a bunch of 34 jeans, some were snug, most fit, and some were big on me, whoa. Bought a pair of 34's; a little shopping therapy never hurt, right? Even for a guy.

Isn't it amazing how when you are getting fatter, all the clothing designers cut their clothes very small "Oh that runs small"...but when you are losing weight, they all seem to cut their clothes "normal" or even too big.

Nice little achievement on the day when I hit a 99 lb. loss.

Michael! WTG - on the jeans and on the progress. You're an inspiration. How's the calf muscle?

Hi Natrushka,

So nice to hear from my favorite Russian-monikered LC expert! Finally, after over 2 weeks of being sidelined, my calf (and lower back) are all better. Tuesday night beach volleyball league this week tested my calf, and it is 98% ok. It was really hard during this time to not be able to exercise; I just do not feel the same when I am not exercising. The last few days of re-starting exercise has felt great.

I can't believe I am one pound away from the century mark; it is almost surreal, but in a good way. Thanks again for all your words of wisdom!

Michael

Wear them proudly?...There's a big "34" sticker on them; I think I'll just leave it on!

Remember scratching the waist size off the back of Levis? Not anymore.

Oh come on - guys love shopping! As long as they buy for themselves.
I feel so sorry for those guys who just follow around, attached to their spouses, look bored and so out of place. Talk about waste of resources...

Congrats on those 34's!

Alina

I can totaly relate, Toots. I haven't been able to lift in a few weeks and I'm aching to get back at it. But I bet you appreciate it all the more now, right

You better have some sort of party when you hit that century milestone!

Hi Natrushka,

Doesn't lifting big boxes and hauling them around and up and down stairs count as lifting?...Yes, you are right, I do appreciate the exercise and the lack of injuries so much more now.

I haven't really thought about the party for the "big ONE O O". Frankly, it seems a little surreal.

Ciao,

Michael
