I did in the first week or so of induction but haven't had one since, no. I know this is an endlessly asked question, but are you drinking enough water?

I know I find if I drop below around 3 litres a day I can feel a definite difference in my energy/health.

And are you keeping an eye on everything you're eating in case there's something specific triggering them? It could possibly be that the diet is starting to highlight an allergy you might have?

Just a thought... sorry not to be more help!

it may also be that your blood sugar is lower than it used to be when you were eating high carb.this can give you headaches but once you get used to it the headaches will stop.

I had major headaches when I first started Atkins, I think its just your body going cold turkey from less carbs and no caffeine (if you have cut it out!!) It will calm down, and as everybody say make sure you are drinking plenty of water!! It does help, I still get headaches but not as bad as when I first started.

Of course, it suddenly ocurred to me (whilst washing up... am I the only one who's noticed how much more washing up there is on Atkins?! ) that there is this whole magical world outside of Atkins to be considered too...

Wisdom teeth, bad posture, leaky gas boiler... have you ruled out the non-dietary stuff?!

As Rachel says, it could be non diet related, I've got a bit of a headache at present, but its related to migrane.

Glad you are drinking plenty of water. Are you eating enough carbs? If you are still at induction level of around 20 then increase them to around 30. Your body does need carbs and this could be a factor for you.

Hope you find the cause soon.

Yeah Anne u may be right with the carbs as sometimes i dont even take the 20 and i am sticking to induction because i am finding it pretty easy to stick to.

Maybe my body's just getting used to it? but its been a month now and just starting to get headaches?

I would defiantly up your carbs, as I said I still get headaches now and again but since I increased the carbs they are now few and far between!!

I agree with Anne and Lynda, you probably need a few more carbs. I've got a headache at present, but it's nothing to dso with the carbs, and before you ask, it isn't alcohol related either

About 2 months in I started getting headaches and then leg cramps started a couple week later. I began taking a magnesium/calcium supplements and potassium in addition to the multivitamin I was already taking. Not only did the leg cramps go away but so did the headaches. After reading up on magnesium, headaches are a side effect of a deficiency (not sure about the potassium?). Just a thought.

Another cause of headaches can be constipation.

Well mentioned about magnesium too, sunspine... which can also cure the constipation if you're taking sufficient! I know it was a minor miracle for me when I had ME and the leg pain was bad.
