Question Day 14...need advice

Hello Everyone! I am new here, I just found this site and it looks like you guys have a lot of good advice to offer so maybe you can help me!

I have been doing atkins now for 14 days, I have read the book and I have stuck to it exactly with absolutley no cheats. I have been using the Keto-stix to test and I am always in between the last two darker shades of purple which is supposed to be good. The problem is that the scale is bouncing back and forth only showing between a 2lb. and 5lb. weight loss. Yesterday I was down 5lbs., today I am back up 3lbs.??? And I am not feeling my clothes becoming any looser.

I am really confused and getting discouraged as everyone else I know seems to be losing but me. Any Advice??

Hello,
I have been on Atkins for about the same amount of time my scale goes up and down but my clothes are getting loser. A lot of people on here recomeneded Fitday.com to keep track of your food because some food has hidden carbs. You are only eating 20 grams of carbs a day? Are you keeping a journal on this site? You might want to, put what you eat everyday or almost everyday, people will read that also and give you advise. I am kinda new at this too this is just a few things I started doing and it has helped. I am sure some others that have been doing this a while will be replying soon too.
Good luck and hang in there.

I always tell females to consider water retention if the scales have gone up and there hasn't been a cheat involved. Of course men can have the same problem but it is especially true for us females. Hang in there...14 days is not long enough to really tell how things are going. Measure so you can see if you are losing inches. That happens often with no change on the scale especially if you are exercising. Good luck!
