Default Saturated Fats

Is it okay to eat mostly saturated fat when on the Atkins Diet? I was talking to a friend at the weekend and they told me it was unsafe even on Atkins to eat saturated fat.

Hi Billygoat,

Here's a link to an article at the Atkins Center website that helped me, entitled "Big Fat Lies".

Hi Billy

Judy has given you a useful link.

There is nothing wrong in eating saturated fats, but you are encouraged to eat mono-unsaturated fats if you can, olive oil, avocados, etc. Also meat does not just contain saturated fat, but unsaturated fats as well.

Remember that you can not put on weight eating fat if you don't eat carbs.
