Thumbs up Results of 2 months on Atkins

I started Atkins on May 27, 2003, my anniversary. I followed induction to the letter. Then I was very busy and stopped counting carbs. I didn't cheat (except for really minor things) but I didn't count for 6 weeks. Then about 10 days ago I started counting again and stayed under 20 net per day up to yesterday when I again was just too busy to count.

The results-down 15 pounds.

I love this WOL. I now realize that I was addicted to carbs and I never intend to overeat them again. I don't crave any carbs and have found substitutes for the things that I was missing.

I make muffins, pancakes, crackers, chocolate, frozen flavored whipped cream, cookies, cake--and I don't miss carbs at all.

My cheats were situational. I was at a luncheon and the main dish had a small amount of bread in it. I ate a very small portion. I was eating at Boston Market, love their squash casserole, realized after tasting it that it was full of carb filler and sugar. Ate half and then the other half the next day. Unless someone put carbs in something they served me that I was not aware of, that's it.

Color me very happy.

Congratulations!!!!!

I'm one week behind you and I LOVE this WOE, I lost a lot of weight by sticking to induction but then my old lc/lf eating habits of one meal/one snack per day crept up on me and I completly stopped losing For the last week I've forced myself back to 3 meals, around 20 grams carbs total, snacks as required and hey presto - the scales are moving again, so far I'm down 24 pounds and 2 and a bit clothes sizes (UK 22-18).

And to think I only started this WOE for a 2 week bet to prove that it didn't work BOY was I WRONG!!!
