Thanks for posting melbal. I missed it last sunday. Didn't miss much I guess Like everyone says, piece of fluff.

What was with that Dale Athrens guy? Don't diet, eat enough and she'll be right mate. !!!?! Shows how much he understands how the metabolism works. I don't even want to start on the self proclaimed non turban wearing, non-dieting "diet guru" Susan Powter. Pfft!

I like what Collette Heimowitz said

I am telling you what the scientific results are — it's not my opinion — and when people argue the dangers of this diet, it's their opinion

That chick was a total bloody fruitcake.

But then, look at what she's eating, and it's not exactly high-carb either - she eats loads of natural organic food and nothing processed. She doesn't eat much meat, but hey, unless she's eating tons of potatoes, her diet *is* fairly low carb.

Having said that, for those of us that saw her, it's obvious she works out for at least 90mins to 2hours a day, probably more, on an extremely high-intensity workout.

Besides, if the price of looking like that was to turn into a hyperactive f**ck-knuckle, I think I'd pass...

I really liked this bit in the story....

Well, basically, what stimulates the body to make insulin? Carbohydrates. The more carbohydrates you eat, the more insulin you make, the more insulin you make, the fatter you become. Here's an example people can understand. How do you fatten cattle? You feed them lots and lots of low-fat grain. How do you fatten humans? You feed them lots and lots of low-fat grain, but now in the form of pasta and bagels.
