Default How many attempts...........

......did it take you before you finally stuck at this way of eating?

Is is a bit like quitting smoking... in that you usually have quite a few failures before finally getting there?

I have been on and off Atkins for nearly 12 months, and each time the same thing makes me relapse - SLOW LOSS then
NO LOSS

OR - did you all just pick it up first time and stick to it?

Just curious

It took me two attempts - I started January 2002 and went until about May 2002, then got cocky, thought I looked great and went back to my evil ways and shot up to 178 lbs. Then I started again this past January, 2003 and have stuck with it and am down 20 lbs. so far and 2 dress sizes. I will never go back - I have my off days like everyone else, but am very happy with this WOL.

Cool

I have been lucky enuf to get it right on the first try, but I am 52 now, and did quit smoking 5 years ago, so I'm probably a bit more motivated--I really want to add life to my years, not just years to my life . For me, I only want to go through this once, not again and again-in other words, quality of life, babe!!
