I'm a little confused. My DANDR books states that tomatoes can be one of your "extra" veggies that you can have up to one cup a day of (if you don't exceed your 2 cups of salad veggies). But it seems folks in the forum keep stating the stay away from tomatoes.

I have recently been eating grape tomatoes on occasion as my one cup of veggie a few times a week.

Is there a problem with this? I love grape tomatoes and when I have them with my Gazebo Room Greek Dressing they are SO yummy. Plus tomatoes are so good for you.

I think most people say they stay clar of them because they are little bit higher in carbs than some other choices...

According to fitday.com:

1 cup cherry tomatoes has 7 carbs
1 plum (roma) tomato has 2.88 carbs
