Default I hate to sound stupid, but . . .

Can someone tell me the difference between heavy whipping cream, heavy cream and half and half? I have never seen anything called heavy cream - just heavy whipping cream.

That's what I've been using too, but it is so good - I guess I think I'm doing something wrong. A little in my scrambled eggs this morning was delicious!

Nope! It's right. Just make sure you count the carbs. There's 6.6 grams per cup.

The term heavy cream is used synonymously with whipping cream, but some are heavier in fat than others ranging from 33% to 36% fat. Half and halk is a combination of milk and cream.

Thumbs up

The difference is in fat content and carb. Heavy whipping cream has more than regular whipping cream. And it is wonderful whipped with vanilla extract and Splenda, then added to SF jello or strawberries! Very satifying!

I check the counts on the creams (regardless of their names) and buy the one with the highest fat / lowest carbs. Rarely have I seen a liquid cream with more than 0 carbs.

Post I use the Heavy WC

I found out about using this product on this board.

I use it for shakes, cream sodas, frittatas, omeletes, desserts. It is pricey though. It seems to have less carbs per cup than half and half.

Have great LC day
