Question fiber pills and carb blocker pills

Just a quick question for anybody out there. Does anyone know if taking fiber pills helps with lowering net carbs during the day or might help in any other way when low carbing? Just a thought since my wife bought some almost a year ago and most of the bottle is still in the medicine cabinet. And, has anyone tried any of the carb blocker pills that are on the market?

Haven't tried either, but what springs to mind is " If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!" If we could lose weight with a pill they wouldn't still be selling them. At some point everyone would be the right weight. Just my opinion! The fibre pills would probably be good if you have THAT problem of regularity.

Fiber pills will not lower your daily net carbs. They will only add fiber without any additional carbs. In addition to helping regularity & thwarting constipation, fiber can help lower cholesterol therefore decreasing the risk for heart disease. So a fiber pill wouldn't hurt & may in fact help. However, carb blockers are a totally different subject. As wils said, if it sounds to good to be true... Not only will they probably fail in helping you to lose, they have adverse effects. A carb blocker doesn't only stop your body from absorbing carbs- it stops your body from absorbing certain vitamins and other important nutrients you need. If you're following a low carb plan, there's no need for a carb blocker to begin with. This is not a no carb plan, some carbs in a limited amount are necessary to function well. If you're looking for a way to cheat, then thats a problem that pills won't solve. I would strongly recommend not using a carb blocker, & instead stick with a real safe & healthy low carb plan. Good luck.
God Bless,
Amy-Lynne
