Thumbs up Newbie

Hello Everyone I have just found you all and have had a bit of a read so I already know some of my mistakes!.
I have never gone into ketosis as I ate exactly what my daughter was eating and she went into ketosis not sure why we differ but the only thing i ate differently from her was oats for breakfast.
Each day I have oats for breakfast is this bad? I am very fit and cant seem to loose any weight and hardly eat any carbs at all (except the two-three glasses of wine each night) which as of today i will cut completely out and try again.
Also the Atkins diet where does one find this is it a book?
I look forward to checking this site reguarly and it feels so good to know we are not alone.

Hi and welcome,

well, no grains are allowed on Atkins. Please, get the info and start again, you can do it! I just wrote a check-list for newbies, you'll find it here.... .
Good luck!
Alina

Check the carb count on the oats but I can pretty much guarantee that it's the oats for breakfast that are keeping you from going into ketosis. Good thinking to cut out the wine, too, as that could be a problem.

www.atkinscenter.com is the official atkins website. It will give you a lot of info, but to buy and read the book is optimal.

Good luck to you and keep at it!

Nicole
