Question Yogurt

Hi LC Friends,

I thought I read in the Atakins book that yogurt was good to use because the bacteria that makes milk into yogurt eats the lactose in the milk. However, when I look at labels in the grocery store, yogurt seems to be high in sugar. The same is true for buttermilk. Would homemade yogurt have any less sugar?

Thumbs up

Its my understanding after reading a thread here that the full fat plain yogurt(whole milk) says 14 carbs but it is really only 4 carbs. I buy Stoneyfield brand in the health food section and add blueberries and Splenda. In fact I just finished some. Vonnie
