Default Induction and Atkins Foods

I have been on the induction for a week and a half now and will continue on this phase until I lose my weight. My question is... can buy the atkins muffin mixes and bars and eat these on induction or do I have to wait?

The consensus here is stay away from Atkins products during induction especially. They tend to stall many in their weight loss. I find that these products (not only his brand) tend to have a large # of sugar alcohols, so they taste strange. But some are o.k. If you have to choose between a carb candy and a Low carb one, the go for LC. I would just eat these "foods" sparingly, even if Atkins SAYS they're ok for induction(I am sorry, but he is in buisiness isn't he?).
Good luck!

You can eat the Atkin's Advantage Bars while on induction- they contain Splenda NOT sugar alcohols, read the ingredients. While on Induction the muffin & bread mixes & Endulge candy are out. You shouldn't plan on staying on Induction until you loose all your weight, because you won't learn the necessary lifestyle changes. You'll also get pretty sick of the same limited foods to choose from, and be more likely to quit. If you've got alot to loose, stay on it longer, but not indefinitely. Slowly increase your carb intake by 5g a week. I recommend you read Dr. Atkin's New Diet Revolution for a better understanding of the whole system- including weight loss maintenance. Good luck.
God Bless,
Amy-Lynne
