Default starting lowcarb after fasting

First of all I just wanted to say hi to everybody. This is my first time posting here although I'm not new to lowcarb. I am presently fasting both for my weight and health and was considering returning to lowcarb eating as a way to modify my weight loss from my fast and then to maintain. I was just wondering what effect low-carb eating would have? Would I continue to lose weight like most people if I started at induction or would I gain weight from having been on a fast? Hope this makes sense and thanks in advance for any and all advice on this subject.

Ice Queen,

I'm having trouble understanding your question. But, I don't see why you would gain weight if you switched from fasting to LC unless you are currently dehydrated. I would think it would depend what your body perceives it current state to be. If it currently thinks you are starving it may be in a mode where it will hoard anything you take in for future fuel. However, If you are on a water fast, you may already be in ketosis. But if you are on a juice fast, then it will be looking for easy sugars for fuel and you will have to go through induction...which is hard for some, easy for others. Hopefully our resident nurse (Doreen I beleive) will pick up on this thread and be able to help you further. Hope everything goes smoothly for you.

Betsy
