Smile Ketchup

One thing I've really missed is ketchup. I love it on burgers and lots of other foods. Then I discovered Walden Farms calorie free, sugar free and Carb free ketchup. It tastes great!! Exactly like the real deal. I also bought a bottle of their barbecue sauce (no Carb), but haven't tried it yet. They have a web site: www. waldenfarms.com. BTW, found this at my local grocery store.

Shaco,

Where do you live? I am curious to know if it is in my area. I too have missed ketchup and bbq sauce. What I have done is to use minimal quanities, but realize that could be slowing me down. To find ketchup & bbq carb free - surely just a little bit of heaven!

Wow, I didn't know there was anything like no carb ketchup and bbq. It is very interesting. I wish to try it sometime.

Smile Ketchup

Hi GoGo,

I got my no carb ketchup and bbq sauce at my local Cub foods. At the time I didn't realize it, but there are quite a few posts regarding these products located, I think, in the section relating to products. Anyway, the controversy is that some people doubt that these products are really carb free, that they may contain hidden carbs. There are responses from the company which point out that their products come in at .5 grams for an entire bottle, if I remember what the post said. My own personal feeling is that these products taste so good, that they are worth the fraction of a carb.

Default I agree...it tastes great!

I have tried their BBQ sauce and like the flavor. It does not do well on the grill when cooked at high heat. I would suggest grilling first and then applying it.

They also make a cocktail sauce that is wonderful on shrimp and other seafood. A little lemon juice and it tastes like you're eating the high carb version.

Default Ketchup Lovers...

You can also make your own ketchup. Then you can be truly sure how many carbs you are getting. Karen posted a bunch of great recipes for ketchup in Karen's Corner. The thread is titled ????? (that really the title). Happy LCing!
