Default Nature vs. Nuture vs. Atkins?

Finished my Induction last week and promptly came down with the flu . Ended up going to the doctor and got weighed on the same scales that I set for my original weight here. Since scales vary I figured this would give me a real indication of the weight/water I'd lost during the 1st 2 weeks.

I went from 141 to 135. Not too bad I thought . Also my blood pressure (the bottom part - don't ask what it's called) went from 70 which is just great to 60 - In fact the nurse commented on how very low it was?!

Anyway - I think it's interesting that if we come from overweight parents (both mine are - and sister too) and hereditary of diabetes and high blood pressure, yet we all ate "healthy" by normal standards - how great it is that just by changing your eating habits you can dump three really crappy health problems and cheat heredity!

Ready to be done with the flu,

Carrie

Carrie, hang in there... the virus can't last much longer I know how yuckie it can be - I spent a week in January going through the same thing. Keep yourself hydrated and do the best you can with your WOL.

If you'd like some good solid information on why LC does the body so much good and how it can help 'fix' so many of our modern illnesses I highly recommend both Protein Power and Protein Power Lifeplan by the Eades. IMHO they are two books that every LC should have in their libraries.

Talking OMG didn't realize!

Having been sick I haven't been online in here since Wednesday of last week. And here I come back and there's this 19 year old blond girl with blue sunglasses all over the place giving advice!

Didn't realize you'd put up a new picture! LOL

You seriously look like a kid in that picture! Love it
Guzzling liquids today - hate it when your Mom says drink juice!!!!!!

Thanks, Nat

Carrie
