Default how much chromium piccolinate?

I've just started taking this and am not sure how much I should have. Have seen recommendations ranging from 100 to 600 micrograms a day. Am currently taking 200 mcg a day. Also, should I take the day's ration all at once or spread it out?
Am 5 foot tall, female, have lost nothing since December 29.

Hi Zanny,

This is something I take myself - I take one 500mg tablet daily - Holland & Barrett Ultra Chromium Picolinate.

Have just got my hands on the new edition of Atkins (you can order it through Ottakars Bookshop, takes a couple of weeks) and he says that 300mg is sufficient for one person, though others may need up to 800-1000mg a day.
