Question Im Confused

Hello

Well, let me introduce myself, im a 21 year old girl from New York.

Now, ive been on atkins for 12 days. I couldnt really tell you my weight loss because i sooo hate using that scale.....id rather judge from my clothing.. I know, not the best idea, but it works.

Ok, now what im confused about is that for the first 5 days i was in ketosis then all of a sudden i dropped to small or just a trace, but never once changed my diet?!?!

Should i try to eat more fat??

i have eggs or egg whites in the morning...
some steamed chicken or deli sliced turkey or ham for lunch,

and dinner..usually roasted chicken??

i might throw some salad in but thats it...ohhh and cheese!!!!mmmmmmmm

i drink lots of water, and excersize everyday.....what am i doing wrong?? please help me....

thank you so much

marah

You've done nothing wrong. There is a natural ebb and flow to fat burning.

With Ketostix anything above nothing is good. You're still in ketosis.

And using clothing is a good way to judge. So is taking your measurments. Scales usually make people crazy!

Default Dear Confused

Hi! I'm new to this site, this is my first post!

I have read that ketosis can be effected late in a woman's menstrual cycle. Just prior or up to a week before your period, you may experience much less of a reaction (or even no reaction at all) on your ketostix. I have experienced this myself. Then as soon as menstruation begins, ketosis resumes. Could this be a possibility in your case?

Hope this helps!

Janice

Default hello Marah

I am sure U are doing everything just right. At 1st it can seem hard because U desperately want to see the scales move and inches coming off. Do make sure to eat enough calories and protein-fat. I personally reccommend to weigh yourself occasionally [ 2-3X a week] Altho others say no more than once a month. Just give yourself time to settle into this new WOE.
