Red face i didnt read the book closely enough

Hi there again!!
I started today....no coke, no candy.....did really well until I realized the the nuts and the cream cheese that I ate were no-no's on induction, now I'm bummed. Can I still go on from here?

It really is hard changing the way you eat...I guess changing any habit!! My body craves sweets so much that I am desperate for low carb sweet stuff (hence, the crea cheese (with stevia).

Also, I didn't get the Atkin's kit I was planning on, the coupons in it expire on 12/31 and that seemed silly to me. Instead I bought the Dieter's Advantage formula and some Essential Oil supplements...I have a multi-vitamin here, will that be ok instead of the atkin's vitamin?

Oh sorry for all the questions and thanks for any help!!

Hi crisader and Welcome,

Don't worry or panic, just start again tomorrow and omit the nuts. I think the cream cheese is ok on induction but I'll let one of the others answer that, it's not one of my favourites though.

I will advise you to read the book thorougly and go over and over anything you don't undersand until you do, or ask one of us.

Starting a journal will be a great help as if you're eating anything that you shouldn't then one of us will pop in and let you now what your doing wrong.

Don't worry though we all have to start somewhere and if you read my journal you'll know I got it wrong especially at the beginning which is why I advise you to read the book carefully.

Good luck and well done, you will get used to it and when you see that weight gone after induction you'll be so happy.

I hope that helps and stop worrying....oh, and drink lots of water.

Bez

P.S. Supplements are good but list what your taking and someone will let you know if you're taking enough.

Cream cheese is fine on induction but nuts are not. It's a good idea to keep any cheese consumed under 4 oz. You may want to consider going completely cold turkey on the sugar substitutes though.

You don't need the Atkins vitamins. A really good multi and other supplements will do just fine.

Ever hear the saying "It's all in your mind"? Well in this case that quite true. It's your brain that's craving the carbs and the serotonin, not your body. Hang in there, go the 2 weeks by the book, tough it out and pretty soon you'll find you no longer WANT the sweets. Honest. I was the biggest chocoholic on the planet
