Default Milk?

I see on this that many of you drink the Hood milk. I tried it on the Atkins cereal and I thought it tasted funny. I normally drink Skim milk, so I got the fat free milk. It almost tasted like it has sugar in it - like a sweet aftertaste. I didn't like it but I'm not sure if it was the cereal or the milk.
This makes me leary to buy the milk again. Any thoughts?

Hood milk beverages are sweetened with Splenda. I would think this is in lieu of lactose, a sugar which occurs naturally in milk, and gives milk its sweetish taste, but which adds carbs. I use the full fat homogenized Hood product and it tastes fine to me. I was off of "real milk" for over 3 years, so I've probably forgotten what the "real stuff" tastes like.

I have used the full fat and the 2% kind, and I like it. I never liked skim milk when I use to do the low fat/ low calorie diets in the past. That is why I am so happy to have found the Atkins way of eating. The last time I ate the Atkins cereal, I poured heavy cream on it.

Default Maybe it went bad?

The first time I bought the Hood chocolate milk, I almost vomited. It was lumpy and really tasted awful. I had just opened it and it hadn't "expired". So I vowed never to buy it again. That didn't last long. I bought the full fat one and I think it's great. I haven't noticed it being too sweet.
