Default BMR Question

I figured my BMR (w/activity) as 2311. (I've been reading with interest Jag's threads). Do I subtract 10-15% from that total to get the caloric intake I should stay below daily? If so, my caloric intake should be between 1965 and 2080? Seems so high - am I figuring this correctly?

Default Rmr - Bmr

I know the calculations for RMR, what are you using for BMR? I try to base caloric intake on RMR with an eye towards calorie restriction.

If you go below 1965 your body thinks you are starving. You body slows down your metabolism and hold on to everything.
Weight loss slows and muscle get "eaten" for food. that is not good. Eat enough to keep metabolism high. you should lose a pound a week maybe more. Remember it took a while to get heavy so it takes a while to get thin.
Look at my signature "patience" darn it.
