Default Intro

Hi just wanted to do an intro - have been putting it off for nearly 2 weeks.
I am nearly 60 y.o. living in Australia and my weight has been up and down all my life.
Would like some advice as am unemployed and do not really have much money to spare if doing carbs on a computer program is good. i tried it with Life Form but they have too many eat out foods whereas i mostly do home cooking. Can anybody give some advice regarding a good cheaper program. I do have CookMaster very old and find that is is great but does not have all the foods i want.
Thanks for having this forum.
regards, Siamese

Hello and welcome! Many of us here use http://www.fitday.com They have an on-line version and a version for the PC, so if money's an issue, you don't have to spend even one penny to use it! It's great because it has some pre-prepared foods, but also has about every ingredient you could ever think of putting in a food. You can also make up your own recipes and add them as custom foods (you do need to know the calories, carbohydrates, fat, protein, etc., etc.). And if you have products you buy that aren't listed you can add those too, as long as you have the nutrient info for them.

Just be warned, though. Some of the defaults are a little funky, like when you add 'eggs, raw' to your list, it shows up as one cup of eggs, so you do need to frequently change portions. But it's easy to use and very handy.

Best to you!
