Default How do I make jello?

okay so Ive never been a jello person. Recently I began eating the jolly rancher jello with whipped cream which tasted great but... I only like the strawberry ones and the green apple ones are icky and in a pack of 6 I only eat the 3 red ones ( I know I sound like a 2 year old) so I now have a growing collection of green jello cups in my fridge and decided its time to get over my fear of koolaid.

I got a bunch of packs of unsweetened kool aid today and some knox... the only question now is how do I mix it?

Do I mix the powders together and add 2 cups of boiling water and 1 cup of cold water (or is that backwards?) do I make the koolaid and then boil it and pour that on the knox instead of water? does it make a difference?

I just want to make normal jello that I can mix with whipped cream... also how many packets of kool aid and knox do I need and is there a strawberry flavored koolaid? I got lemon, grape, watermelon kiwi, cherry, tropical punch and mystery flavor. That was all they had for sugar free. If this works I would love to find some strawberry.

Thanks,

MJ
