Thumbs up Carb Watch Products!

Was so pleasantly surprised when I went to my local supermarket and there was an entire section devoted to low-carb products! They have Carb Watch products and expanded their Atkins products! I bought a whole bunch of food and the Carb Watch Milks..both plain and chocolate. They are good! Surprisingly.

So this morning had my Banana/ALmond Crunch cereal w/the milk and I am happy...my tummy is happy...and best of all, my breakfast was only about 5 carbs

Yeah, my Walmart had a huge shelving area in the grocery section during the holidays (Thanksgiving - Christmas) that had the commonly purchased ingredients for holiday recipes. However, after January 1st, they made the entire area a Low Carb Section and I love browsing around it. Haven’t bought anything yet, but it is great that it is there ~ manufactures are totally aware of where our money is going (and NOT going).

Although Atkins' products are high priced..the Carb Watch products are not so expensive. I got 2 half gallons of milk for $5.00 and the BBQ sauce and cheddar sauce $2.59 each. Only slightly more than "normal" high-carb products.

I've been looking for a reasonable priced low carb bread, the ones I've seen are still a high 9 grams of carbs per slice. Is there a lower carb available?

Atkins is lower but its $4.99 a loaf (on sale). I believe it has 3 or 4 carbs per slice compared to the 9

Thumbs up

I just got back from the grocery store and they had the product I have been waiting for. I heard about six months ago that Heinz was working on a low carb ketchup. Well, there it was sitting on the shelf just waiting for me to buy it. I rushed home, made a burger, and took a bite. Mmm, Mmm Good. Only one carb per Tablespoon compared to the regular 4 carbs. Anyway, it made my day!

Still looking for the Heinz Ketchup...not available yet...hopefully soon. T

BTW...the Choco milk is pretty good by the way...even my finicky daughter likes it...a little thick...I had to add some water to thin it out.

I went to Wal Mart and the whole low carb display was gone, and i could not find any of the stuff that they had. I hope they just was in progress of moving it or making an aisle for it, or something.
