Question not loosing weight on induction

I have been on the Atkins diet since Jan 5, and have not cheated even once. I have been in ketosis since Jan 7, and luckly only experienced only minor discomfort during the first couple of days. I feel my apetite toward food have decreased, but the scale still reads the same. Here are some of the food that I typically eat.

breakfast, a slice of 3 carb bread with butter.

lunch, salad with 1/4 cup of cheese and bacon or a boiled egg. Some kind of grill meat such as pork tenderloin or chicken.

dinner, grill salmon, sausage, chicken, or steak with blue cheese. For vege, red pepper, spinach, lettuce, or mushrooms.

drink, H2O and occasional tea

snack, sugarless chocolate (7 piece for 2 carbs), tea sweeten with splenda and cream.

I use to weight 105 in highschool and gradually increased to 115 during college. Last year, I had jaw surgery, which prevented me from eating solids for 6 weeks (i only lost 10 lb on this high carb low protein liquid diet). Then, when food become available again, I gained 10 lb in one year Those last twenty pounds are stubborn. My question is do you have to excercise along with the Atkins diet for it to work?

In all changes you make to the way you eat I would say Yes!
I noticed my skin felt like jello and the exercise is helping me tone. I can lose weight without it but even normal everyday chores help me get "some" exercise. I feel so much better when I raise my heart rate.

Yes you should also excersise it could help boost your metabolism. You also should not be eating the low carb bread and sugar free chocolate during induction.

Does it depend on individual? I am still in ketosis even when I eat sugarfree chocolate.

But if you're not LOSING, you may want to try cutting them out for a week and see what happens. You might be suprised.

For induction the bread is a nono, get rid of it.

As we get older, our bodies naturally hang onto a little extra fat. It may not be possible to get down to where you were in high school or below. 100 pounds would actually put you underweight for your height.

Why not get your body fat tested. Then shoot for a healthy level of body fat and work on toning and tightening areas. That will mostly take exercise, Weight lifting will help with the sculpting.

You might want to take a look at the Body for Life workouts as they require only a small amount of time in the gym 6 days a week. You only do from 20-60 mins a day depending on that day's workout.
