Question Ketosis and weight loss

I have been doing Atkins since the end of April and have lost a little over 20lbs, kind of slow, but I didn't have that much to lose. These past 2 months, I haven't lost anything. My carb intake is around 30-40/day and I am in ketosis every morning. I have not lost inches either in these last 2 months. Is it possible to be in ketosis and be at my CCL? Is is possible to be in ketosis (not related to dietary fat) and not lose weight or inches? My bodyfat is on the high side, so I know my body needs to lose more weight. Thanks alot!!!

Hi.

>>"Is is possible to be in ketosis (not related to dietary fat) and not lose weight or inches?"

I would have to say no, since ketosis is specifically from the breakdown of fat (or muscle, if you're not eating enough.) Assuming it isn't dietary, it would have to be coming off your body.

Have you considered starting a journal and/or tracking your food intake for a while? If you post it, maybe we can have a look and see if anything jumps out at us.

Yes. If your are consuming a large amount of fat in relation to calories, your body will break down the dietary fat for fuel, and not dip into bodyfat reserves.
