The secret: consequency
At our place we have a pool and a gym - free for residents, and open 24/7. People use both the pool and the gym from 4 am to after midnight every day. Watching people here I could not find connection between the amount of lost weight, gained muscle and the time WHEN somebody exercises. On the other hand there is a direct connection with the frequency, consequency.
If you read success stories, exercise threads, gym logs here, you' ll come to the same conclusion.
Do anything you like, anytime you like - you will see improvement:-)
I prefer to run early morning, because here that is the only cool time from March to October.
But my favorite swimming time is after lunch. Reason: nobody else is there, so for an hour I have my "private pool".
For weights - any time when the gym is emtpy, so I am not forced to watch ESPN or CNN :-)))
