Question Stair Stepping Question

Back in the day (early 80's) I remember doing what we called the stairs. Basically just walking up one stair and back down. And we would do this for like 5 minutes.

It used to hurt like hell and really break us out in a sweat.

Is that still something worth starting from? I would like to do something in the house until I can get down to a point where going to the gym does not bring on a panic attack.

So single stair stepping.... anyone?

I actually do those step-ups.. LOL
I use an 18" step, and I do 40 steps on each leg.. Now mind you, I am doing it for a while..

I strted 3 years ago with 10" steps and only 15 reps per leg...

BTW, every fireman, as part of the physical test, must do 100 step ups on an 18" step.. It is not easy...

Well if you have lost as much weight as you appear to have, doing those stair ups most certainly can not be a bad thing.

I have been trying more and more to walk around for really no appearant reasons.

Folks in the office are starting to wonder why I walk around drinking water until the water is gone. I figure walking is walking and drinking is good.....
