Default Refeeding: not afraid any more!

So here's my success story with refeeding (carb loading: lo-fat, hi junk sugar)
- have just come off induction in which I never cheated, did everything right, gained 2 pounds
- at the start of week 3, had to have minor surgery (all is well now, thanks) in which I was strapped to a glucose IV for the morning.
- Figured why not try carb load day, since I'd already had all that glucose. Had real trouble eating high carb, all that stuff tasted AWFUL and I couldn't wait to get back to a nice chef salad. I did try to spread out the carbs over the rest of the day, not even tempted to binge.
- Next morning: down 5(!!!!) pounds, had more energy than I've ever had before, walked twice my usual distance, faster.
- Back in ketosis by second morning, didn't put on any water weight at all.

I know this is an unusually good version, probably had something to do with mixing it with surgery, most people put on a couple pounds the next day, but I was thrilled to discover leptin receptors working as programmed: when I'd had enough sugar, my body told me so.

I had heard before that at two to three weeks it is good to have a big cheat as long as you get right back to it. BUt I had never heard of an experience like yours. Did you experience any cravings from your cheat day?
I am glad your surgury went well and you lost the weight, that is very cool !!! Stephie

No cravings at all, although the second day I woke up much hungrier than I've been in a long time. What I'm really glad about was that I was so nervous to try it, and it worked out so well.
