Default seeing if i'm on the right path for recipe making

I admit it--I have no idea how to work this station. Just hoping it gets through to someone out there. I made up a recipe today which seems good to me, just about too good, so am wondering if I've done something wrong? Here it is for pancakes: 1 cup almond flour, 2 T vital wheat gluten, 1 1/2 t baking powder, 1/2 t baking soda, pinch of salt. Stir all those together well. Add 2 eggs, and sour cream. Use 1/3 c sour cream and add enough water to make 3/4c liquid. Stir well and let sit for 5 minutes. Bake in a buttered 6" frying pan, turning when bubbles appear, to brown other side. I calculate about 2.75 carbs per pancake. Now what about a syrup that doesn't cost an arm and a leg in carbs? Maple flavoring mixed with what besides water? What would thicken it a bit without making it "thick"?

The pancakes sound good! Great job! As far as syrup goes, I'm suspicious of SF maple anything (just me!). I usually fry up about 5 strawberries in a pan with a little butter and splenda and do a strawberry sauce. Sometimes I also melt some butter with splenda, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Occasionally I add on both. Just a thought . . . . .

Oh, and add a little whipped heavy cream and it's HEAVEN!

I just registered for this forum today and your name was the first one to come up. I noticed that it starts with rempe which is my last name. Are you a Rempe too?
