Default Has Tony Blair Been Low-Carbing?

This is a copy of a piece that appeared in the Black Dog column of the Mail on Sunday on October 26th.

"Did the Atkins Diet cause Tony Blair's heart trouble? The PM has cut his carbohydrates by avoiding potatoes and picking the strawberries off calorific fruit pies. Mr Blair's fussy habits have prompted speculation that he is secretly following the Atkins regime, which has recently been linked to a range of health problems."

If he has been following a low-carb regime, I don't think it would be responsible for his problem last week. I can understand why he would want to keep it quiet though, especially after various government departments have been put all that negative spin on the Atkins Diet and eating low carb !!

Just goes to show, you can't trust a politician

Now wouldn't that be interesting if it was true! It does show the power of publicity though with so many people giving it a go. I just wish more would read the book or do proper research rather than wing it. Its those wingers that are bound to give low carbing a bad name.

I read something in another article saying that Blair had told Bill Clinton a few years ago that he had slight heart problems! Not that that would put any newspapers off blaming it on low-carbing of course!!

It's a shame the Beckhams aren't doing it, there'd probably be loads of pro articles about it then Mind you, I don't think Victoria needs to lose any weight.
