Thumbs up Funny Story to Share

I work for a catholic paper and we are housed in the same building as the bishop and diocese employees. Anyways, I finally let the cat out of the bag last week that I was on atkins and had lost over 30 lbs. People were shocked. One lady told me that I carried my weight well and that she never thought I was over weight, "but to lose 30 lbs, congratulations!" Well, she told the bishop about it and yesterday one the the priests came into my office and said congratulations on the weight loss, bishop's been telling everyone. Telling everyone about MY weight loss and how impressed he is. I thought it was so funny. And the support I am getting now, is unbelievable. In fact, one of the secretary's that found out I was on atkins and that I had lost 20 lbs, (while back) went out and bought the book herself and has now lost 6+ lbs. Another lady was exclaiming at how good I looked also.

I work with some awesome people

Congratulations!!! Isn't it neat the way just letting people know can be such additional support. Maybe you and the girl at work can start trading recipes.

That's great! We hear so many stories where people are afraid to let people know because of all the nay sayers out there. It is good to hear good things.

Awesome job Ms Kidy. It is really nice to get positive feedback from our co-workers. I have been out on disability leave for spinal cord surgery since July and I will be going back to work in about 12 days. I too have lost 30 lbs and my worst fear is no one will notice, lol. Oh well, if that happens, I will come to this forum and post my tale of woe and I will get lots of congrats here, I am sure.
