From the press release!!!!!

"Heinz One Carb Ketchup is designed for consumers who wish to moderate their carbohydrate intake without having to compromise on taste," the company said, echoing Michelob's "lose the carbs, not the taste" tagline.

Heinz's lower carb ketchup will contain one gram of carbohydrates per serving - 75 per cent fewer carbs than traditional Heinz Ketchup. The company also offers "No Salt Added" and "Organic" ketchup and in May launched a limited edition blue ketchup."

this is fabulous! I honestly think this was one of the HARDEST things for me to give up! My dh and I are ketchup holics...used to buy the mega size at sam's. So sad that I prepare 9 dollar a pound beef tenderloin and put ketchup on it...what a sin!

Yeah, it was on the news here in Seattle, too.

I'm glad the bigger names are coming to their senses, but honestly now...I will eat BLUE ketchupt the day I see blue tomatoes in gardens. BLEGH!

Thanks for sharing this info!

I posted this link, it will probably get moved, so I will post it here too.
I took the poll and did a 1 minute survey to tell them to give us more LC stuff.

We still like ketchup on meat and eggs. Gotta have ketchup for the scrambled eggs! This will be great!

Oh this is great news. My daughter is a catsupaholic and Heinz is the best tasting one around. Has anyone found it in the stores yet? Now what do I do with those 5 bottles of the regular Heinz that I bought on sale, lol?
