Smile Flying high again (lightheaded)

Hello, I’m a new LC’er, 3 weeks now. I lost 7 pounds on two weeks of induction and 1 more pound the next (last) week. For a few days when I first started induction I felt lightheaded, almost drugged, then later was OK. Saturday I strayed slightly when I ate fried breaded (lightly with breadcrumbs) halibut. Beginning the next day and today, I feel lightheaded again and have no energy. I have to push myself to get anything done. I’m getting enough calories (~1800) according to fitday.com. I’m taking a multi vitamin every day. Could it be from eating those breadcrumbs? I’ve seen other posts about feeling bad after getting to many carbs. I didn’t think that small amount of breadcrumbs would affect me. I’ve seen some posts suggesting potassium supplements/foods, would that help clear up my head?

PS Great site!

Keith, I would call your doctor and ask him/her what they think. I used to experience light headedness but it cleared up as soon as I started Atkins. It couldn't hurt to hear what a trained professional thinks. Good luck and keep us posted.

I second going to the doctor. You are describing how I felt BEFORE Atkins but Atkins cured it. Atkins gives you double the energy. Carbs will give you a drugged feeling but it sounds like you are not eating carbs much so I have no idea what could explain it. You should check it out.

I have had days like this. Other posts have suggested Magnesium, Calcium and Potassium replacement to help. This WOE can cause water loss...causing electrolyte loss.
