Default back and trying again and re splenda

[I]Hi there everyone!
I started doing lc a couple of months ago and then fell off the wagon! Since then I think that I may even have gained a few extra pounds which is discouraging. However I started a new ex program that I relaly enjoy and which has toned toned toned my bod esp my legs, tush and arms so although I still need to reach my goal in terms of weight loss I have made progress in this other area.
One of the reasons that I stopped lcing last time is that I had very bad reaction to Splenda. Not only do I think I may be one of the unlucky ones whose body looks at it like sugar, I also was using way too much of it. In addition I had an allergic type reaction to it (maybe it was to the maltodextrin I am not sure) I had stomach probs as well as feeling very depressed and headachy all the time So this time am not going to do any sweetners. Also want to see if this helps me lose my lifelong sugar addiction.
[COLOR=Purple]I am a veg. I am trying to stick to under 30 g of carbs.
I am hoping to lose this time...really a lot!
Any help or suggestions would be so appreciated!

thanks so much!

Welcome back to low carbing! Yes, some people do have trouble with artificial sweeteners. Sounds like avoidance may be your only choice if this is the case with you. What kind of exercise program are you doing? I could certainly use some "tone, tone, toning."

Default ex and thanks

Hi there!
the exercise program that I am doing is called ChicoMetrics. It is similar is many ways to Callanetics but I like it better. It is based on the premise of "small muscle pulses done at the farthest range of contraction." It really works. You see results in about 3-4 sessions and the results keep coming! Combined with cardio and occassional yoga for a short time for me is a combo that just can't be beat.
If you want more info the website is ChicoMetrics.com The video is $20 and it is great cause he gives you alternatives to many of the exercises so you never get bored. And you only need to do it 2x a wk.
Also you can check at altfitness at yahoofroups.com as well for info.
I've done tons of ex programs over the years and this is the only one that has had such almost miraculous results. It is enjoyable too and grows with you.

lookn' forward to hearing what you think!
and thanks for your reply!

Thanks for the info! I haven't heard of this video. I have several Firm tapes and Tae Bo along with some older step areobic, regular areobic, etc. I will have to check this out. Sounds interesting!

Talking chicometrics

The gal that is doing ChicoMetrics now is named Ruthie and she is just so nice and helpful. You can email her with questions.
Hope you give it a try! I did the Firm, Pilates, weight training, tae bo, and ttapp and had no real results and with a few of them I think I actually lost ground! (I have exed my whole life) But this and Callanetics really do the job!
ChicoMetrics also tones and defines your arms without weights. And twice a week means you get to have a life!
Off the soapbox now!!!!!!

eatin' my low carb breakfast!
