Default Carb count question

I know that when a label says 0 carbs for a serving of something, it could actually contain up to 0.9 carbs. Am I correct in assuming that's true for all amounts? For instance, something labeled 2 carbs per serving could actually have up to 2.9, right?

Mr. Mel: Great question. I was under the impression that the manufacturer had to round it to the nearest carb (e.g. .6 of a carb would be 1, 2.6 would be 3). I have seen the measurement of <1 too. Its something to watch out for though. I noticed TicTacs show 0 carbs in one tic-tac but who eats one? I bet they have about a half in each one. Let's see what the others offer. mad

I think this is a really good question, too. I don't know the answer, but I'd like to.

Maybe you'll have better luck with a reply if you post the same question to General Low Carb or Atkin's sub-forums?

Just be sure to come back and tell us if you get a good answer!
