Default DO unto thy body?

Okay, I swore that after 2 weeks of the induction I was going to start some form of exercising. WELL...here I am.

Went for a walk 4 km. It wasn't easy, actually started off easy, then feeling so good, I tackled a hill...YIKES...I wanted to quit right then and there. I am too determined though and NEW a cigarette was waiting for me at home with a tall glass of water.

Walk totalled 35 minutes and I DID IT!
Lungs hurt too much to smoke after.

My plan is simple, walk same route every other night, then next week I start at the Y and will do more there on alternate days.
Ambition is there

Default Copping out tonight

I worked at the store today, and I have to admit...2 days after doing that walking my legs are KILLING ME!!
I think I will just slow the pace down a bit and do more warm ups prior too.

So tonight...just regular stretching...no more.

Okay, I signed up at the Y last night, and it was too crowded for my taste to even THINK about a workout at that hour. I asked when they are not as busy, and afternoon seems to be best.
SOOOOOoooo

Went today at noon, and did 15 on a treadmill with no incline at a rate of 3mph with a 5 minute cool down.

Moved on to a exercise recline bike (whatever you call them) and did another 15 minutes with a 5 minute cool down.
Incidently...they both were on fat burner mode...whatever that means, and I stayed within my target rate....again...no CPR required...so I guess this was a good thing

Then it was OFF to the pool!! No kiddies there, just a few of us oldies but goodies, and here I am in a 2 piece granny bikini with boobs hanging out...I swear if that top burst open...they would drop and I could breast feed snakes!!!
I did 20 minutes in the pool of lane swimming, breaking only occassionaly for a toe cramp.

My goal is 6 days a week....I am gonna win this battle, come hell or high water!!!

It really didn't cost that much, honest.
I applied for subsidizing (?) as I am on disability and single. I also asked about the slowwwwwwwww times when very few people are there.
Don't get me wrong, there are windows around it, so anyone can actually watch....so far..no takers to watch

Up and dressed by 7 a.m. and all set to go to the gym!!!
Got there, and had my mug shot taken...UGH...not pretty.
Treadmill 15 minutes at 2.9mph with a 5 minute cool down after

that bike thingie....did 15 minutes on fat burner mode with a 5 minute cool down

THEN...thought I would try this deep water aerobics classs!!
I mean...after all, it had a few ladies that were in there 60's and 70's in there, how hard could it be?
It was a 45 minute class...and I lasted almost 15.

I ACHE NOW!!!!

Those ladies could probably kick my BUTT!!!
I now have a new respect for those older than myself.

Wow, you are doing great! Congrats. The Y has a great discount for disability, a friend of mine uses it... and she's lost 50 pounds!

Anyway, keep up the good work!

TY for the congrats....I am really liking this Y.

Well, did diddly squat today...no gym
Was told at the front desk that on weekends if it looks like rain...the centre will be busy. If sunny and nice...the place is empty.
It looked like rain today.

Thought I would try later, but ended up working at the store.

That was the start to my perfectly TERRIBLE day

Well it was another "iffy"day on the weather. Seems it doesn't want to make up its mind as to what it wants to do.
Hence...no gym. The only one problem I can find at the moment with the Y is that on weekends, they open at 8 a.m. not 6 a.m..
Decided to go for a walk-about. Went all over downtown and home again, took almost an hour.
That was all I did.

Up and at 'em today...early start!!!!!

Got to the Y and did 15 minutes on tread mill, then off to bike, and another 15 minutes. Attempted some AB machine, but I don't think I set it up right as my boobs were on the pressing pads and everytime I leaned down to pull UP the weights...they would pop out and hit my chin!! Gotta get some help on that there machine.
Luckily...it wasn't too busy.
Off to the pool then, did 3 laps then did a full class (45 min)of low impact aerobics!!!

Unhappy Later start

Didn't get up at a decent hour...slept until 11:30
This is NOT a good time to go to the Y...the kiddies start coming in.
I almost didn't go...but decided I would only do the treadmill and pool.

I did 20 minutes on the treadmill and jogged for 2 minutes every 5 and increased the speed for those 2 minutes. I actually had a sweat going!!

I then found an AB machine that won't remove my breasts, and did 2 reps of 10 on it.

Off to the pool for 10 laps.

While changing, was ogled and giggled at by 9 year old little girls...I was Soooo embarrased, I wanted to cry.
Please....ladies...if you have little ones at that age....alert them even fat people have feelings.
I was ready to give in right then and there.
There was only ONE mother in the change room, and I approached her as to the kids behaviour...her response? "come some other time then"

Not a good day

Thanks Mel and Quibbers....Manic is so refreshing...lmao
I am finding for some strange reason this is the time I want and DO drink more coffee than I should. SO I decided to try and beat that craving and only ordering larges and every other one is decaf, hoping it will make some difference. So I won't count on losing much in the pounds this week when I weigh in.

Y time again, and did the usual treadmill of 25 min....just couldn't get into a jog...so fast paced walk instead.

Worked on the upper body today using some rather unusual contraptions that perhaps at one time where used for medival torture before the prisoner was drawn, hung and quartered. I know I will definately hurt in the morning...BUT...if it picks my nipples up from my ankle bone..then it is worth it.

 Keely! That's a mental pic I didn't need this early in the morning...hee hee

I think when the kids start back to school I'll give the Y's weight/machine room a try. I have no idea what to do tho- I'll see if I can find someone to show me. I've Never Ever worked out on machines, but if my 72 yr old mom can do it-I can too!!! Rah! Rah!

Going to skip the NT today and try and make it to the pool, or- I have all those lovely workout videos to choose from.

Shall we set a goal to get off the caffiene? I need to do that too, or at least cut back. Every other cup is a good idea I think. I kept it to one this morning.

Have a great day
