Hi,

I was doing really well then all of a sudden I heard someone was on weight watchers and they lost this much in this amount of time.....and with my weight fluctuating 3-5 pounds on any given day I folded....and I couldnt stop and now Im up to 152 from 145 in less than two weeks....Im freaking out......I was doing so well and lost the loving feeling for the sweets and now Im on fire....I want sugar more than my hubby. Can someone give me a bit of a pep talk and get me going again I was gonna do no carb today to get back into the swing of things....and I had a question I drink iced coffee like crazy it did not affect my weight loss at all but how good or bad is it......? any responses will be helpful

Welome back to induction baby Just remember how fast that weight came off in the first two weeks!

Now back to withdrawls. Just take it one day at a time. Each day you stay on plan you win! You have to stop listening and judgeing your weight loss to what other people lose. Everyone is different no matter what plan they are following. Chose the plan that is right for you. Just remember at first, everyday you are lighter than the day before! (Hopefully) Every week you are lighter than what you were the week before! (hopefully), AND EVERY MONTH YOU ARE LIGHTER THAN THE MONTH BEFORE!

Its all about you! (Or in my case me ) But everyday you let slip by will only make it harder in the long run and undo all the great work you have already done! That being said, good luck on the 4th!! I think we will all need it

As far as iced coffee goes... as long as it's not a premade iced coffee from a can & you limit yourself to only 1 or two a day, it's probably ok. Try to make them with decaf & use Splenda. Those sugar free DaVinci syrups are great in them!

Been there...done that....maybe these pointers will help---

Take it one day at a time... even one meal at a time.. for the next few days until you can get back in control.

Keep lots of water and tylenol around until you can get past your sugar cravings.

Remember how you lost your taste for sugar after being on the diet for a while? Well, just start telling yourself over and over again, "Sugar tastes nasty!" If you start feeling neglected because you can't enjoy high carbs while everyone else can, just remind yourself that you can have high fat while everyone else can't.

Avoid shopping malls and prime time TV. (too much temptation)

Throw away any tempting food that your family can part with. Replace them with your favorite legal foods and indulge until you feel in control again.

Eat often during the day so you never get the chance to actually feel hungry. (Being hungry and looking for something to eat at the last minute =doomsday)

Visit this forum every day-or whenever you feel the urge to eat something illegal.

Remember, all it takes is three days of Induction to get back in the swing of things. Think about it this way: Time moves on no matter what you do. You get to make the choice of what you will do with it. You can eat lots of sugary treats (yummy!) or you can eat lots of treats without sugar (yummier!)

BTW-there was a three week period for me when my weight fluctuated 3-5 pounds on any given day as well. It was around the two month mark. (I forgot to look to see how long you have been on Atkins) It finally quit and the fluctuation is now never more than 3 pounds. Fluctuation is NORMAL. It doesn't mean you are actually gaining.

Now go and enjoy a nice grilled porterhouse!

Good Luck!

Also been there done that...this last week in fact. After four months of doing so well and losing so much weight, I allowed myself a Pepsi with lunch. Ended up having three more sodas over the course of the week and then two days ago, Pepperoni Bread and a small bowl of cereal. Yesterday when I woke up, I decided no more excuses and no more cheats. I really struggled at lunch yesterday not to have a Pepsi, but I managed to get through without one and then last night I grabbed DANDR again and started reading. Reading the reasoning behind Atkins and why and how it works gave me a fresh start in getting back on track. This is day two of Induction re-start and so far so good I can do this and I will do this and you can, too!!! Stop it now and get back on track. Don't tell yourself you will do it tomorrow, or just finish out the week and then start again...just do it

Good luck!
