Default Want Bacon & Sausage? READ!

Mornin all!

I just returned from Oscar's Smoke House up in Warrensburg, NY.
Website is http://www.oscarssmokedmeats.com/
and MAN, am I HAPPY! The Big Man there knew all about atkins and pointed out what would work for me...so I loaded up!

Nitrate free bacon...and smoked and soooo YUMMY...just over $3.00 per pound! Go easy on it, as it is cured with honey....but then all the bacons I have seen have some sort of sugar in them...so just be careful.

Country Style Breakfast Sausage (loose in sack): NO NITRATES...just Pork, Water, Salt and Spices. NO SUGARS, Guartanteed. Around $3.00 per pound.

I also bought various Chicken Suasages; one with Jalepeno and cheddar...another with Spinach and cheddar...both priced just over $3.00 per pound! Again, NO NITRATES or Sugars....

Italian Sausage: NO NITRATES OR SUGARS! Simply Pork, Water, Salt and Spices. Just around $3.00 per pound.

THEY SHIP! They have been in business about 50 years...and have clients all over the world!

SALT: Due to the salt being in these meats, I would recommend only have them one time per day...my guess....so that you don't retain water. I am on a blood pressure pill that rids the water, so not so much a problem. If I see that I am starting to retain water, I plan on using these meats as a "treat".

That said: These are VERY HIGH QUALITY meats, and I recommend them.

Best to all;
Jake

Thanks, mammouth - I'll be checking out their web site. Got an extra freezer, so I'll stock up.
