Default Please Help Interpreting Hidden Carbs

Ok, I don't get this and am hoping someone can help translate for me. This is the first time I've used the Hidden Carbs Inspector tool and these were the results I got (btw, it's Bob's Red Mill Flax Seed Meal):

Hidden Carbs Calculator
Stated Label Information

Calories 68 cals
Fat 7 g
Protein 3 g
Carbohydrates 4 g
Subtracted Fiber? No Fiber 4 g
Food Category Nuts and seeds

Calculated Information
Carbohydrates factor 4.06310
Fat factor 8.37000
Protein factor 3.47286

Actual Carb count -0.25 g
Difference by weight -4.25 g

Does this mean that the 4 g of carbs shown on the label are too high? Because of the fiber being deducted?

Thanks for the help! I'm trying to enter it into Mastercook.

They appear to have not deducted the fiber.

Flax is very high fiber, almost all the carb count is due to fiber.

In addition, labels tend to round things up. i.e. 9.5 grams become 9 grams, etc.

So, are you saying that I interpreted the results correctly?

I think so, but the wording confused me a bit

While the fiber has not been subtracted.

Yes, I see that now. What I was trying to ask was:

The calculated "Difference by Weight" shows as -4.25. Is that because the Inspector subtracts fiber? I understand about the .25 being rounding -- it's the -4 I'm wondering about.

In other words, is the label correct and the ECC = 0 (4 gm of carbs - 4 gm of fiber)?

Sorry to be so unclear.

The label is correct, but I wouldn't say it's 0 ECC, more like from 0 to 0.9 grams

You can check our carb-counter for confirmation of exact values for flax nutritional information.
