Default New to the Forum

Hello all,

I'm new to the forum and relatively new to the Atkins plan. I started March 1 (two months ago) and have lost 23 lbs so far. It seems to me that I should have more gone by now but it goes quite slowly. However, I notice that my body shape and size is diminishing disproportionately with my weight loss. I was over 20 lbs lighter than I currently am on WW a few years ago and I can wear the clothes now that fit me then.

Can anyone tell me if you find this to be a normal function? Also, any tips on jump starting the wieght loss would be much appreciated.

Welcome!

Yes, that is normal. You are gaining muscle mass which will slow the the scale down, but you are still smaller. I am actually in some pairs of 8's which I couldn't fit into at this weight before.

Welcome & congrats on your loss so far; you're off to a great start! Lots of us find even when the scale isn't showing a loss we're losing inches, so bonus you're seeing a loss of inches & pounds. As far as jump starting your weight loss, it seems you've already done that so you just need to be patient & stick with it. Make sure you're getting at least 64oz of water daily, taking a good multi-vitamin, exercising, & counting carbs & you'll do fine! Should you have any problems or questions, this forum is full of support & advice. Good luck!
God Bless,
Amy-Lynne
