I will just post the link in deference to those who might be offended. Here is an article describing us as Jim Jones Acolytes *sigh*

Ignorant people make my blood boil. I wish these people would just look at the USDA charts for caloric intake over the last 20 years. Caloric intake has DECREASED, I repeat DECREASED among men since 1965. You cannot blame Dr. Atkins for making people fat when the facts show that the average joe is not following his suggestions. If everyone were following him as this idiot suggests...there wouldn't be an obesity epidemic.

ONE MORE TIME: CALORIC INTAKE AND FAT INTAKE HAVE DECREASED, WHILE CARBOHYDRATE INTAKE, SUGAR INTAKE , OBESITY, HEART DISEASE, AND DIABETES HAVE INCREASED SINCE 1965. QUIT SPOUTING THAT IGNORANT "IT IS THE CALORIES" CRAP AND LOOK AT THE STATISTICS.

Consider the source. We've discussed Mr. Fumento and his criticism of low carbing before: http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthre...ghlight=Fumento
His comments don't surprise me in the least.
