Well, I have been working out for a few months now and figured I might as well set up an execise log. I will be joining a gym soon too and I think it will be helpful to have a record of my progress.

So far I have been following exercise videos and shooting for 30 minutes a session, at least 3 days a week, usually more. (since May 03)

My current weight is 175 but I feel much larger than that right now. I am anxious to see if my inches drop fast after joining the gym. 40, 44 now

Today I did QF, 10 minutes each-abs, buns and arms.

Congratulations to your weightloss:-)) ( I have just checked your pics.) I am absolutely sure that joining a gym, refreshing your exercise routine would give a new bust to your meatbolism.
I started with 175, and simply by changing my exercise from 5x/week (60-90 min intensive) swimming to 3-5x/week 30 min (pathetic) walk/jog I lost 8 lbs without any dieatery change:-))

Welcome to the gym board:-)))

This morning I completed segments from several different sources.
Denise Austin: Hit the spot abs
8 minute buns
I want those arms

About 30 minutes in total

Jill, regarding your question in my gym log.

Yes, last January I changed my exercise routine from longer, more intensive to shorter less intensive, and simply this CHANGE (wihout any dietary changes) shook up my metabolism. 8 lbs loss in the first month, 7 in the second, 5 in the third. The real intersting, that when I increased my running time/speed/distance, my weight loss slowed down. During summer I ran 30 miles every week, but lost only 3-3 lbs/month.
Simply my body had accustomed to the new exercise routine very fast.

If you visit frequently any gym you will see many people (usually young women) doing the same 45-60 min elliptical routine every day - without any noticable changes in their weight/shape.

My recommendation (actually it is not mine, pro trainers say the same thing) : change your exercise routine in every 6-8 weeks, to keep interested, entertained your body:-)))

P.S.: I see you are doing I want those arms. I have just ordered I want that body (the 4 "I want" programs from Tamilee Webb. She is my favorite. I have learned the basic of weight training from her book. She is an excellent teacher/instructor:-)

Ha Ha Ha! I didn't even go into the gym at the Wilderness Lodge! I did peek in the window though and it looked like an awesome gym. I did, however walk miles a day so I don't feel too guilty. I honestly was not about to get myself sore or expend more energy than I already did. We exhausted ourselves daily.

Today I am off to walk.....It's only 39 degrees here though. Not as much fun.
